Shawn started Southpaw CPA Services to give individuals, business owners and CRNAs one CPA for tax planning, tax preparation and bookkeeping. He brings over a decade of experience in public accounting to every client.
MEET SHAWN
Over a decade in public accounting
Shawn O’Neill is a CPA with over a decade of experience in public accounting. He began his career at PwC, later worked in-house as an accountant for a law firm, and then spent six years at a midsize CPA firm in Pennsylvania before starting Southpaw CPA Services. Over that time he has prepared individual, corporate, partnership, nonprofit and fiduciary returns, and he has kept the books for many of the same kinds of clients.
He started Southpaw so clients could work directly with their CPA all year, from planning ahead to filing the return.
Away from work, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children—two sons and a daughter. He and his wife have been married since 2016.
THE NAME
Why "Southpaw"
The name comes from baseball, which has been a big part of Shawn's life. He played college baseball at the University of Richmond and La Salle University.
CRNAS
A personal connection to the CRNA profession
Shawn's wife is a CRNA, and he has worked with a number of CRNA clients. He knows how CRNAs get paid, how often the work crosses state lines and how quickly that makes a tax return more complicated.
