Helpful to have handy for your call
You don't need to send anything ahead of time. Having these nearby will make your first call more useful.
- Last year's tax return, for reference
- Your sources of income: W-2, 1099, business, rental or investment
- Any states you lived or worked in this year
- Any big changes this year, like a new job, a move, a new business or a sale of property
- The questions you want answered
TIMING
When to reach out
The earlier in the year you start, the more room you have to plan. If your income changed mid-year, you started contract work or you're thinking about a big financial decision, reach out before the year ends. If filing season is close, reach out as soon as you can.

How much do your services cost?
Fees depend on the work your situation involves, so we don't use one flat price. Shawn will go over the fee during your consultation, before any work starts.
Do I need to live in Philadelphia?
No. Southpaw is based in Philadelphia and serves clients nationwide.
Can I send my tax documents through the website?
No. Please don't send tax documents or personal financial information through the form. Shawn will explain how to share documents once you decide to work together.
What if I'm not sure which service I need?
Choose "I'm not sure yet" on the form and describe your situation in a sentence or two. Shawn will help you sort it out on the call.
